Sirish Turlapati is the Chairman & Managing Director of Iris Educare Limited, the parent company of “Iris Florets- the happy play school”, a fast-growing preschool chain which has presence in three countries, “Iris Sakalya Academy”, a formal school for grade I to X and “Iris EduValley World School” a K12 Residential School which offers CBSE & IGCSE programs. Sirish is a renowned edupreneur who started his journey in Preschool Industry with the aim to change the way preschools are perceived and operated in India. He comes with a diverse experience of over 20 years in brand strategy, service marketing, business development, strategic alliances, merchandising and product development as well as overseeing the company’s financial planning, compliance and management.
Mr. Sirish started his entrepreneurial journey back in 1999 as a co-founder of an ITES company in Hyderabad. Later, the demand for high-quality preschool education and the importance of early childhood education inspired him to venture into the education industry with the preschool segment. He started his first playschool as a franchise partner of a Delhi based preschool brand in 2009. Soon, he had 10 preschools and a formal school successfully running under his aegis.
His interest in catering to young children with holistic education led him to venture his own brand of preschool. Inspired by his guru Mahatria and mentor Dr. Yandamoori Veerendranath, he started his own preschool chain “iris florets” in a franchise business model, in 2015. After an extensive research by Sirish and his team, a revolutionized curriculum model took birth which aims to create excitement and happiness in the learning process.
Within a short span of 5 years, iris was able to establish 150+ schools across India, Nepal & Uganda. Iris brought itself 90+ national and international awards becoming the leading franchise preschool in India. Iris has bagged numerous prestigious awards like “Asia’s Greatest Brand 2018”, “Top Franchise Model Preschool”, Hyderabad by Times of India, consecutively for 2017, 2018 & 2019, “Too 50 Preschools of Asia” at EdAsia 2019, “Most Innovative Preschool Chain”, “Most Admired preschool” and more.
He has set a benchmark in the education industry with his leadership skills and knowledge & implementation of the international education system through Iris. He has been recognized through various awards that have been conferred on him like “Acharya Devobhava” by leading educational magazine Brainfeed in 2014. He has been awarded as the “Asia’s Greatest Leader” in 2018 at Singapore. Mr. Sirish was conferred with “Dr. S Radhakrishnan Samman” in 2018, “AFI The Best Indian Social Entrepreneur” in 2019, for his remarkable contribution in the field of education.
He is a visionary with a shrewd and staunch sense of enterprise who has made the transition from entrepreneur to industry trendsetter and leads his enterprises from the front.
