Sharmila Lele is the Headmistress at the Cathedral & John Connon Infant School, Mumbai.
After graduating in Commerce and being a Chartered Accountant, she changed her career path towards the field of Early Childhood Care & Education and found her calling.
Her vast experience of 25 years in the field of primary education has seen her vision being transformed into the Reading Programme that the school follows.
The school hosts 300 students in the age group of 5 to 7 years. The main focus of the school is on laying a strong foundation in Reading. The reading programme of the school is the amalgamation of the enriching literature based activities and the involvement of teachers and parents. It has seen a positive change and a greater reading outcome.
