Fatima began her journey in the corporate world after her MBA and transitioned to the education world. She was adjudged Education World’s “Top 50 Young Educators” in 2014; is the recipient of several awards for outstanding contribution to education in 2013, 2015, the most recent being the Young Achiever’s Award in March 2017, Singapore based, Best of Asia’s, ‘Enterprising Educator in 2018’. As an entrepreneur, ‘Best Edupreneur 2019 and Best Leadership’ by Progressive Academic Excellence India (Maharashtra) 2019 and one of the 10th finest inspirational educators in 2019 by TKR, India.
Commerzbank, Times of India and Egon Zender International as diverse organizations were the perfect foundation before she was involved in the set-up of several premier K- 12 national and international schools in Mumbai as Managing Trustee and Director of an educational startup. Having gathered tremendous experience as a result of managing 18 national and international schools in this role, including pre-schools and a school for children with learning difficulties, Fatima as Co-Founder of KA EduAssociates, another educational startup now aims to create more opportunities for stakeholders in the education space.
In the past 3, she has led the team to set up 9 consultancy high school projects pan India – 4 national and international high schools, and 5 pre-schools, each catering to the vision of what the founders specify. Pioneering, “out of the box” and a risktaker, Fatima’s love for children defines her passion for the team she leads. Fatima is also the Vice President for the Early Childhood Association in India, a forum for the network of pre-schools in India; Advisory Board Member of Lit O Fest–Mumbai Chapter, a literary arts festival bringing young writers together and Wockhardt Foundation. A keynote speaker and a jury member for educational wards, Fatima is also a Mumbai Territory Head for ‘APER’ (Association for Primary Education and Research).
